Many of Presair’s pressure switches are field adjustable. This allows you to adjust the point of actuation to the exact pressure setting you require for your application. It can be done on the fly wherever the adjustable switch is placed.
**Notice – the direction you adjust the set screw is opposite for the below models. Follow these instructions for adjusting your pressure switch:
WARNING! Do not tighten the screw too far in clockwise. Going beyond the limits may prevent switch operation.
Adjustable Pressure Switch
Your adjustable pressure switch comes preset at the low end of the desired pressure range. To adjust your switch’s actuation point, follow these simple instructions:
- Insert a small hex driver into the screw pictured.
- Tighten or loosen the screw until you reach the desired set point. Tighten clockwise to switch at a higher pressure; loosen counter-clockwise to switch at lower pressure.
Adjustable Pressure Switch Description Pressure switches are designed and manufactured to exacting standards to meet the needs of original equipment manufacturers and instrument makers for low cost, stable switches and good repeat accuracy. Field adjustable using the hex head set screw at the center of the pressure switch.
The pressure switch’s microswitches are in the open state before actuation point is reached.
Presair’s adjustable pressure switches span the range on increasing pressure of 1 psi to 125 psi. All switches are 100% tested at high and low settings and at a high proof pressure.
Adjustable Sensitive Differential Switch
Your adjustable differential switch comes preset at the middle of its pressure range. To adjust the switch’s actuation point, follow these instructions:
- Insert a small hex driver into the screw pictured.
- Tighten or loosen the screw until you reach the desired set point. Tighten clockwise to switch at a lower pressure; loosen counter-clockwise to switch at higher pressure.
Adjustable Sensitive Differential Switch Description
The Sensitive Single Pole Switches can be used as Pressure or Vacuum Switches (from 0.25 inch of water to 15 inches of water) or as Differential Pressure Switches. Making the switch function as a Differential Pressure switch, or a Comparative Pressure switch, would require a two source system. The switch would actuate when the gap between the two sources of pressure is further apart than the set point of the switch. The switch responds to rapid pulsing and the gold plated silver contacts will handle low level switching currents.
Other adjustable ranges up to 35 inches of water are available. Please contact us with your application requirements.
Adjustable air bleeds can be supplied on either side of the diaphragm for pulse sensing applications involving safe edges or bellows.
