made in u.s.a.

Presair switches are designed & manufactured in Eau Claire, Wisconsin U.S.A.

The PCB mount vacuum switches are single function controls with internal electrical contacts designed to mount directly to a printed circuit board. These basic component switches feature momentary switching logic in a compact design to add pneumatic actuation to any electronic control circuit.

These versatile switches are a great choice for many applications due to their small size & variety of connection styles. Although these switches are built to connect to a printed circuit board, they can also be retrofittted for nearly any application by connecting wire leads. These switches can sense vacuum ranging from 6 inches of water all the way up to 200 inches of water.

  • Variety of mounting & air connections available
  • Factory set vacuum range of 6 inches of water to 200 inches of water. Some field adjustable models available.
  • Differential Sensing Available

Frequently Asked Questions

YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

What is a printed circuit board (PCB) mount switch?

A PCB switch is a type of electrical switch that connect directly to a circuit board, and upon actuation at a specified range it turns on/off the application system it is connected with. Wire leads are also available for other applications where the PCB switch’s compact design is necessary.

Do you offer a double pole, single throw (DPST) PCB switch?

Yes. Contact our customer service team here for more information.

My application will expose the switch to hazardous chemicals and/or gases. How will the switch perform?

We offer a variety of diaphragm material options to meet different application needs.   Here’s a guide to the different options available.

What do you mean by inches of water rising / falling?

Pressure switches are measured by inches of water, or inches of mercury. Once the switch rises or falls the contacts will open and close based on the hysteresis, or deadband.

Read a more    detailed explanation here.

What’s the difference between a pressure and vacuum switch?

Pressure switches push against the diaphragm & plunger inside the switch versus a vacuum switch pulls the diaphragm away from the plunger inside the switch. Another way to think of vacuum switches is a negative pressure switch.    Here’s an illustration to help!
