Presair Tinytrol miniature vacuum switches make electrical contact when a certain set pressure has been reached on its input.

Their miniature size & variety of connection styles for simple implementation into any system. These switches allow for simple electrical on/off control over vacuum. As vacuum rises or falls, one contact opens as the other closes. This provides a perfect solution for monitoring, controlling, & notifying. Tinytrol Miniature Vacuum Switches are preset at the factory to actuate at your specific requirements.

Are the Tinytrol Vacuum Switches adjustable?

No. Tinytrol Vacuum Switches are factory set between 0.25-300 inches of water.

My application will expose the switch to hazardous chemicals and/or gases. How will this affect the switch’s performance?

What do you mean by inches of water rising / falling?

Vacuum switches are measured by inches of water, or inches of mercury. Once the switch rises or falls the contacts will open and close based on the hysteresis, or deadband.

What’s the difference between a pressure and vacuum switch?

Pressure switches push against the diaphragm & plunger inside the switch versus a vacuum switch pulls the diaphragm away from the plunger inside the switch. Another way to think of vacuum switches is a negative pressure switch.   Here’s an illustration to help!
